ANDRÉS NUÑO

ANDRÉS NUÑO

Hello there,

My name is Andrés Nuño in case you haven’t noticed it plastered all over this website. I’m an award-winning filmmaker based in Los Angeles, California with a passion for dark, cinematic storytelling. I’m also a freelance creative working on various projects from commercials to narratives, and even music videos.

At just sixteen, I was nominated at a film festival, and I was recently nominated for my horror short “Cholo Love Story” by the New York Latino Film Festival. Despite my accomplishments, I can confidently say I still don’t know what I’m doing, but if you're my future employer, you can ignore my qualifications and you can call my mom instead; she’ll tell you all about how great I am.

I graduated film school with distinction at ArtCenter College of Design in 2022 and worked in just about every position on a film set since. I am eager to be a part of a creative team and continually looking forward to tell new stories whether through directing, writing, producing, or setting up the crafty table.

As the son of two immigrant parents, I will continue to fight to be a voice that tells stories for those who are rarely heard and underrepresented. I am proud to be a part of the next generation of Mexican American filmmakers— a niche that has so much room to be defined and explored. I hope to be a leading voice and inspiration to those who those who have that in common with me.

In late 2023, I started COWBOY PIGEON a multimedia production company that is home to my creative endeavors. Although I’ve centered my craft around horror and thriller pieces, I strive to bring new voices to genre filmmaking with every project I create and each story I tell under COWBOY PIGEON.
