ANDRÉS NUÑO
ANDRÉS NUÑO
Hello there,
My name is Andrés Nuño in case you haven’t noticed it plastered all over this website. I am an award winning filmmaker based in Los Angeles, California with a passion for dark, cinematic, and unique storytelling. I am currently working as a freelance creative working on various projects including commercials, narrative works, and music videos.
From being nominated in a film festival at 16 to recently being nominated for my horror short “Cholo Love Story” by the New York Latino Film Festival, I can confidently say I still don’t know what I’m doing. But if you're my future employer just skip that and feel free to call my mom, she’ll tell you all about how great I am.
I graduated film school with distinction from ArtCenter College of Design in 2022 and have worked in just about every position on a film set since. I am continually eager to be apart of a creative team and tell new stories wether I’m directing, writing, producing, or setting up the crafty table.
As the son of two immigrant parents, I will continue to fight to be a voice that tells stories for those who are rarely heard and underrepresented. I am proud to be apart of the next generation of Mexican-American filmmakers which I believe is still niche and undefined. I hope to be apart of the movement to change that.
In late 2023, I started COWBOY PIGEON a multimedia production company that is home to my creative endeavors. Having dedicated my craft mainly to horror, I continually strive to bring new voices to genre filmmaking with every project I create and story I tell under Cowboy Pigeon.
